For Syndigo to place the content into the product pages on your site, we need to know about the products you sell. This is done by sharing your product catalog with us.
To share your product catalog, you will create a data feed (or report) containing information about your products. Please review the below details for required information and formats.

- EXCEL
- XML
- JSON
- APICSV (Comma-Separated Value) - File Name: catalog.csv
- File Encoding: UTF-8
- Other requirements: Windows formatting for new-line characters (CRLF)
FILE CONTENT
These are the fields that must be included in the CSV file, and the order in which they must appear. The file must include a header row with a column for each field shown below.
All Columns Must Be Included
Although some fields may be left empty, all columns must be included in the file. You are strongly encouraged to provide as much information as possible to help Syndigo’s platform properly match content to your products.

| ID * | Your unique identifier ID. This is used to display a product page and/or add the product to the cart (also the page ID from the Content Identification section) |
| Brand * | The name of the brand (ex. Samsung, OralB) |
| MPN * | The Manufacturer Part Number *This is a mandatory field if GTIN is not provided (it is strongly recommended you provide BOTH) |
| GTIN * | Global Trade Identification Number. 8-14digit GTIN, UPC, or EAN *This is a mandatory field if MPN is not provided (it is strongly recommended to provide both) |
| Name * | The name of the product on your website. |
| Product Page URL * | The URL of your product page |
| Stock Status | Stock status availability |
| Category | The category for the product. This may include a hierarchy. *If you include hierarchy use the [separator] (ex. Electronics[TV]HD) |
| Price | Product price (in native currency) |

Ready to Send Your Feed?
Once the feed is ready with the requirements above, your next step is to schedule its delivery. You can either deliver this file to a Syndigo FTP server, your own FTP server, or an external link location for us retrieve this file.
To schedule delivery, create a batch script that generates this file daily (or more frequently if needed) and upload the file to the feed file location.
We recommend scheduling the procedure before 5:00am Eastern Standard Time, or when load on your systems are lowest.
Best Practices
Regularly updated feeds (daily or weekly) is strongly recommended
Use dot notation (rather than commas) for prices.
a. For example: 1373.98Make sure the uploaded catalog includes all your searchable products.
a. Products live on your site but not included in your catalog will not receive any content.Please ensure your ID is a unique identifier for the product or page
Common Issues
- Field values with commas or double-quote are not escaped properly
- The CSV file format is a comma-separated list of values. Fields that may contain embedded commas or double-quote characters (as is often the case with product names) must be surrounded with double quote characters. In addition, any embedded double-quote characters must be represented by consecutive double-quotes. For example: Syndigo90"16K,OLEDTVwould berepresented as "Syndigo90"" 16K,OLEDTV".
- Feed information MUST BE IDENTICAL TO information (products) being implemented (Script = Feed)
