Conflicting Applications

The system validates the Application record against the other Applications within the Application Group for potential Conflicting Notes. The Application records that are identical with the same set of all VCdb attributes, same Notes, and except the Part number are considered as Conflict applications.

If the Application records are identified as “Conflict”, the system rejects the associated Application Groups. The rejected Application groups are sent to the user for review with a valid error message under the "Task Details" section.

Scenario 1

Consider you imported an XML containing two vehicles with the same attribute values for BaseVehicle, BodyType, DriveType, Notes, Qty, PartType, and Position except Part number.

The following is a sample XML for Vehicle base ID:

The Application records are identified as “Conflicting Application”.

Scenario 2

Consider a scenario where an XML file is imported containing two equipment records with identical attribute values for EquipmentBase, EngineBase, PartType, Notes, MfrLabel, and Position, differing only in Part Number.
