The system standardizes the data by extracting the incoming part number, Year, Make, Model attribute values, and so on of the Application record.
The system performs the following standardizations:
- The system extracts the incoming part number from the application, strips all the special characters, space and keep only alphanumeric values and converts the string to upper case.
- The system extracts Year, Make and Model attribute values and concatenates into a new string stored in the attribute BaseVehicle Name.
- The system concatenates all the VCdb attributes, Application Patterns (same Vendor ownership, Brand and Part Terminology). The system identifies incoming Application Patterns against pre-existent Application Pattern within Application Entity by Vendor ownership, Brand and Part Terminology. If Application Pattern already exists, assign pre-existing ID or creates new ID.
