ETIM-BMECAT Validations

The system performs the validations for better organization and management of the Parts data. The Governance Model in the PIM application allows you to perform the following:

• ETIM Model Validations
• BMEcat Attribute Validations

The business conditions for the supported attribute groups are defined and are executed while validations are performed. For more information on the Governance Model and its behaviour, see Data Governance & Rules.

Supported Attribute Groups for Validations

The following table lists the supported Attribute groups:

BMEcat Attribute Validations	Product Details Product Order Details Product Price Details Supplier and Product Attributes	Considering the short_description attribute is a mandatory attribute, the validation is performed to check if the value is provided for the attribute. If value is not provided, then the system throws an error.
ETIM Model Validations	Range Type Attribute	Considering Range To and Range From as Range Type attributes, here are a few sample validations: If both Range To and Range From attributes are empty, then they must be acceptable. If either Range To or Range From is provided with data, then both attributes must have values. The Range To value should always be greater than the Range From value.
