PCdb Validations

The system validates all application records within an Application Group against the approved PCdb database version. If the application record is not valid as per the PCdb standards, the system rejects the application.

The PCdb attributes of the Application record are validated against the PartTypeToPosition reference table. If there is no match for a vehicle or an equipment, the system rejects the entire Application Group with PCdb error. The PCdb validations are available to the user for review with a valid error message under the "Task Details" section.

Note:

In PCdb reference tables, if an attribute has “U/K” or “N/A”, then users are allowed to provide any value for the attribute. In this case, the PCdb error is not flagged for the application.

PCdb version validation

The system accepts 6 recent PCdb versions available as per Auto Care Association Industry Standards. If your file is not compliant with this requirement, check the file to meet one of these 6 versions (excluding the current month).

Note:

Whenever a new version is uploaded, the system updates the configuration to the new version and removes the older version accordingly.
