How to identify universal and recipient specific mapping

Universal mappings apply to all recipient connections to help save time by ensuring core product data is consistently mapped across all recipients, while recipient-specific mappings are created for individual recipients to meet unique recipient requirements. Together, they support both standardized and customized data management.

To identify the universal and recipient-specific mappings:

Navigate to the recipient PDP.
To identify the mapped attribute, look for the following labels based on the mapping type:

Universal mapping: The mapped attribute is labeled Linked (Account Name) Value.
Recipient-specific mapping: The mapped attribute is labeled Linked Recipient specific value.

Tip:

A mapping label that includes your Syndigo account name indicates a universal mapping.

Click the icon to view the target (linked to the source value) and source (where your data comes from) attributes along with their corresponding values, in the Linked Attributes modal.

Click OKAY to close the modal.

If the source is a recipient attribute, you can add or edit source data in the Linked Attributes modal.
