Once the Applications of the Application Group are already validated for “Mandatory Attributes” scenarios, the system performs the overmap validation.
Consider the following Application records imported to the system.
| App ID | BaseVehicle | Part | SubModel | BodyType | DriveType | PartType | Position |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 15 | 4793 | ST-1959 | 49 | 5 | 5 | 7532 | 35 |
| 17 | 4793 | ST-1959 | 39 | 9 | 5 | 7532 | 35 |
| 20 | 4793 | ST-1959 | 20 | 9 | 7532 | 35 | |
| 29 | 4793 | FB558 | 7532 | 35 |
- The system extracts the list of attributes of BaseVehicle ID available in the Application record and calculates the number of distinct attributes by BaseVehicle ID. BaseVehicle Id - 4793.
| Base vehicle ID | BodyTypeCount | DriveTypeCount | SubModelCount |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4793 | 3 | 1 | 3 |
- The system then calculates the number of distinct Attributes by BaseVehicle ID, Part, and Notes.
| BaseVehicle ID | Part | Note | BodyTypeCount | DriveTypeCount | SubModelCount |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4793 | ST-1959 | 2 | 1 | 3 | |
| 4793 | FB558 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
The system considers all Applications having the same count for any of the Vehicle Attributes between VCdb and XML files. Once the Application record is marked as “Overmap”, the overmapped attribute values are cleared. The following table shows the applications after overmap validation.
| App ID | BaseVehicle | Part | SubModel | BodyType | DriveType | PartType | Position | Is Over Map? |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 15 | 4793 | ST-1959 | 49 | 5 | 5 | 7532 | 35 | Yes |
| 17 | 4793 | ST-1959 | 39 | 9 | 5 | 7532 | 35 | Yes |
| 20 | 4793 | ST-1959 | 20 | 9 | 7532 | 35 | Yes | |
| 29 | 4793 | ST-1959 | 7532 | 35 | No |
