You can upload or import entities using Excel and CSV files, as well as assets like documents, images, videos and audio files.

Upload entities using Excel

You can upload entities using Excel or CSV.

To upload entities using Excel or CSV files:

  1. On the navigation menu, click Quick Actions > Upload Excel.

Result: The Upload Bulk Entities dialog box is displayed.

  1. Click Upload File or Drag and Drop the excel file.

  1. Locate the file that you wish to upload and click Open to load the file.

    Result: The Upload Entities page is displayed. A batch task is submitted for importing all the data from the import data excel. You can perform any of the following:

    • Click Finish & Close to go to the Home page.
    • Click Upload more entities to upload more entities.
    • Click Show task details to view the import task status.

Upload Assets

You can upload assets like images, videos, and documents.

To upload assets:

  1. On the navigation menu, click Quick Actions > Upload Assets.

Result: The Upload Assets page is displayed.

  1. Click Upload File or drag and drop the assets you want to attach.

  1. Click Upload File or drag and drop files that you wish to upload.

    Result: The file name and the upload status are displayed for all the assets that you have uploaded. Also, a progress bar is displayed which indicates the number, size, and percentage of assets uploaded.

  1. Click Next.

    Result: The Finish stepper is displayed with a confirmation message. A batch task is submitted for importing all the assets. You can perform the following:

    • Click Finish & Close to go to the Home page.
    • Click Show task details to view the task details of the uploaded asset.
    • Click Upload more files to display the Upload Assets page to upload more file.

  1. Click Show task details.

    Result: The Task Detail page is displayed.

    • If new assets are successfully uploaded, the pie chart appears in Blue with the count of the uploaded assets (Create).

    • If the asset is successfully updated, the pie chart appears in Orange Color with the count of the uploaded assets (Update).

Scenario

Consider that you wish to stop the upload process when the task is in progress.

To cancel the upload process:

  1. Click Cancel from the Upload Assets grid.

Result: A popup is displayed with a confirmation message.

  • If you click Cancel, the upload process is resumed to complete the task.
  1. Click Yes.
