Proxy Vendor Data Onboarding

Prev Next

The Proxy Vendor Data Onboarding feature enables ACES files to be uploaded by a Proxy Vendor role (Example: Data Supplier). This functionality for data onboarding is useful in the following scenarios:

  1. Internal Teams having better, or more recent data.
  2. Vendors not directly accessing the system, due to business or technical reasons.

The following image depicts the catalog setup process for the Proxy Vendor:

Notes:
  • Catalog that are marked “Protected” must be uploaded by a Proxy Vendor only.
  • Catalog that are not marked “Protected” must be uploaded by a Vendor only.

To upload the Proxy Vendor data:

  1. The Proxy Vendor role must select the specific Vendor from the Vendor Id drop-down list.

The following is a sample screenshot displaying the Vendor Id drop-down list for a Proxy Vendor role:

  1. Upload the ACES XML file by clicking the Upload File button. For more information on how to upload ACES XML file, see Uploading ACES Data.
Note:
  • It is mandatory to select a value from the Vendor Id drop-down list to upload a ACES XML file of any version.

In case you do not select an ID from the Vendor Id drop-down, the application displays an error notification stating "Ownership data not found". A sample screenshot is as displayed:
