Data sync between PIM to Syndication

Scenario: Syndicate the Product from PIM to Syndication application.

Let us consider that the Retailer have the Product (GTIN-57689347689376) in PIM with the following attributes:

The application provides Syndication feature, so that the Retailer can syndicate the product data from PIM to Syndication and can leverage the syndicated data.

Syndicate Data from PIM Application

To syndicate the data from PIM to Syndication, perform the following steps:

1. From the navigation menu, click Search > Search Thing Domain.
   

   Result: The Search Thing Domain page is displayed.

2. Select required entity type from the Type drop-down list.
   

   Result: The list of associated entities is displayed.

3. Double click the required entity that you want to syndicate.
   

   Result: The Entity Manage page is displayed.
   

   Note:

   The data syndication can be performed through two ways:

   • Entity Search Page: The multiple products are syndicated from PIM to Syndication.
   • Entity Manage Page: Single product is syndicated from PIM to Syndication.

4. Click Actions > Ready for Syndication.
   

   Result: A confirmation dialog is displayed.

5. Click Yes.
   

   A confirmation message is displayed which indicates the initialization of the syndication operation.
   

   Result:

   • The Summary tab displays overview of the syndication process.
   • The Errors/Messages tab displays the errors that occured during syndication process.
   • The Related Tasks tab displays syndication details of the associated relationships of the entity.

   

View Syndicated Product in Syndication Application

To view the syndicated data in Syndication, perform the following steps:

1. Log in to Syndication application, with appropriate credentials.

   

   Result: The Home page is displayed.

   

2. Click Products from the navigation menu.

   

   Result: The list of all products within the Syndication application are displayed.
   

3. In the Search field, enter the GTIN number of the item (Entity) that you have syndicated from PIM to Syndication.

   

   Result: The product details of associated GTIN number are displayed.

4. Click the Product that is displayed in the search result.

   

   Result: Product Details page is displayed with the all the syndicated attribute values.
