Data Syndication from PIM to Syndication Based on Target Market Country Code

The Syndication application provides the feature of auto publishing the modified product information in the corresponding Target Market(s) of the intended recipient(s). This is achieved by using an ISO 3166 numeric country code for each Country context in PIM. The selected Country context is displayed on Target Market in Syndication.

Prerequisites

To auto publish the syndicated product information in Syndication, following are the requirements:

  1. Recipient(s) must be linked to an entity in Syndication.
  2. Ensure that the critical errors are resolved so that the readiness score of an entity is 100%.
  3. The performPublish attribute value must be set to true in the syndication service configuration file for this scenario. For more information, see Syndication Service Configuration for Supplier Persona.

To auto publish in the required Target Market of the intended recipient(s), following is the requirement:

  1. Configure the required targetMarketContextType attribute value in the syndication service configuration file for this scenario. For more information, see Syndication Service Configuration for Supplier Persona.
Notes:

  • Syndication supports the feature of auto publishing the modified product information in the corresponding Target Market(s) for only GDSN suppliers.

  • iso3166n is the attribute name used to identify ISO 3166 Numeric in the backend.

  • If a modified product information is syndicated from PIM in a Channel context, the Target Market namely, USA is displayed by default for a recipient in Syndication because there is no ISO code for a Channel. For example, a product information is syndicated from Argentina Retail Channel. The Target Market, namely, USA is displayed by default for the Demo Foods Company recipient in Syndication.

Syndication of Product Information from PIM Based on Country Code

To syndicate the modified product information of an entity based on country code, perform the following:

  1. Select the required Country context. Here, we have selected Germany Country as our Country context.

  2. Select any attribute and modify its attribute value(s). Here, we have modified the Height attribute value to 9 IN.

  3. Click Actions > Syndicate.

View Product Information Auto Published to Recipients in Syndication

To view the auto published product information in Syndication, perform the following:

  1. Log in to the Syndication application with the appropriate Supplier user credentials and select the required account. Here, we have considered Demo Account Foodservice as our account.

  2. Select the required entity. Here, Food is our required Pallet.

    Result: The product information of an entity is auto published to the intended recipient(s). Here, the product information of Food (Pallet) is auto published to Demo Foods Company.

  3. To view the publication history of an intended recipient, click Publication History.

    Result: Here, the product information of Food (Pallet) is auto published to Demo Foods Company by using Germany as the Target Market.

Notes:

  • You cannot simultaneously syndicate the data in multiple contexts.

  • Syndication also supports the feature of auto publishing to packaging hierarchy. But ensure that the prerequisite conditions are fulfilled.
