Duplicate and Publish Product

Scenario: Duplicate the Product and publish it to Retailer.

Let us consider that the Supplier needs to duplicate the Product with the following attributes:

MFG Name	Phillips Foods

To duplicate and publish the Product to the system, it involves the following actions to be performed by the Vendor (Supplier):

Procedure

Duplicate Product

To duplicate the Product, Vendor must perform the following steps:

Login to the CES application, by specifying the appropriate Supplier credentials.

Result: The Home page is displayed.
Click Products from the navigation menu.

Result: The Products page is displayed.
Click the required Product that you want to duplicate.

Result: The Products Details page of the associated product is displayed.
Perform the following steps to duplicate the Product.
a. Click Duplicate.

Result: The Duplicate Product window is displayed.

b. Enter new name for the Product and then click DUPLICATE.

Result: The confirmation message is displayed at the top of the Products Details page.

c. Click View.

Result: Product Details page of the duplicated product is displayed.
Click Properties tab.

Perform the following steps to link the recipients to the Product:
a. Click Add recipient.

b. Select the required Recipient (Example: Shamrok Foods Company), and then click APPLY LINK.

Note:

Requirement set is the set of predefined attributes set by a particular Retailer, so that a newly created product can be linked to Recipient’s requirement set.

Go to Attributes tab and perform the following steps:
a. Click Requirement set menu.
b. Select required Recipient (Example: Shamrok Foods Company).

Result: The set of predefined attributes for a particular linked recipient is displayed.
Specify the required values for all the attributes.

Note:

Make sure that critical errors must be zero, and readiness score is 100%.

Publish Product to Retailer

To publish the Product, Vendor must perform the following steps:

To publish the Product, perform the following steps:
a. Click PUBLISH.

Result: The Publishing Content window is displayed.

b. Select Product Content and then click CONTINUE.

Result: The Publishing Product Content window is displayed.

c. In GDSN Recipients tab, select the linked Recipient then click PUBLISH.

Result: The Publishing Product window is displayed.

d. Select the target market (Example: United States) and then click PUBLISH.

Result: The Publishing window is displayed with the success message.

Click the Publication History tab, there you will see the details of the published product. If GDSN status of the product is "CIC - Received", the product will be received by the recipient Retailer.
