Scenario: Create the Product and publish it to Retailer.

Let us consider that the Supplier need to create the Product with the following attributes:

Attribute Value
GTIN Number 34543511178907
Functional Name Crab Meat Jumbo
Net Weight 12 LBR
Brand Name Phillips

To create and publish the Product to the system, it involves the following actions to be performed by the Vendor (Supplier):

  1. Create the Product
  2. Publish the Product to Retailer

Procedure

Creating Product

To create the Product, Vendor must perform the following steps:

  1. Login to the CES application, by specifying the appropriate Supplier credentials.

    Result: The Home is displayed.

  2. Click Products from the navigation menu.

    Result: The Products page is displayed.

  3. Click CREATE NEW > Single Item.

    Result: The Products Details page is displayed.

  4. Click Properties tab.

    Perform the following steps to link the recipients to the Product:
    a. Click Add recipient.
    pic

    b. Select the required Recipient (Example: Shamrok Foods Company), and then click APPLY LINK.

Note:

Recipient is the set of predefined attributes set by a particular Retailer, so that a newly created product can link.

  1. Go to Attributes tab and perform the following steps:
    a. Click Recipient menu.
    b. Select required Recipient (Example: Shamrok Foods Company).

    Result: The set of predefined attributes for a particular linked recipient is displayed.

  2. Specify the required values for all the attributes.

Note:

Make sure that critical errors must be zero, and readiness score is 100%.

Publish Product to Retailer

To publish the Product, Vendor must perform the following steps:

  1. To publish the Product, perform the following steps:
    a. Click PUBLISH.

    Result: The Publishing Content window is displayed.

    b. Select Product Content and then click CONTINUE.

    Result: The Publishing Product Content window is displayed.

    c. In GDSN Recipients tab, select the linked Recipient then click PUBLISH.

    Result: The Publishing Product window is displayed.

    d. Select the target market (Example: United States) and then click PUBLISH.

    Result: The Publishing window is displayed with the success message.

    Click the Publication History tab, there you will see the details of the published product. If GDSN status of the product is "CIC - Received", the product will be received by the recipient Retailer.
