Syndicate Deleted Image Relationship Data from PIM to Syndication
The application provides the feature of ensuring that an image relationship that is deleted in PIM, is also deleted in Syndication.
Ensure that the Prerequisite condition is satisfied before syndicating the deleted image relationship data.
Delete Image Relationship in PIM
Scenario:
Consider a scenario where an image relationship is deleted in the PIM application. After the syndication operation, the image relationship is also deleted in the Syndication application. Here, the syndication operation is performed in Global context and English locale.
To delete an image and syndicate the updated data from PIM, perform the following:

Select the required image and click the delete icon. Here, Chicken Breast.jpg is our required image.

Click Actions > Syndicate.
Result: After the task is successfully completed, the updated data about the deleted image relationship is syndicated to Syndication.
Verify Deleted Image Relationship in Syndication
To verify that the image relationship is deleted in Syndication, perform the following:

Log in to the Syndication application with the appropriate Supplier user credentials and select the required account. Here, we have considered Demo Account Foodservice as our account.

Select the required entity. Here, Food is our required Pallet.
Result: The deleted image relationship is not displayed in Syndication. Here, Chicken Breast.jpg image is not displayed for Food (Pallet).
- The App also supports syndicating the deleted image relationship data from Syndication to PIM.
- Only the relationship between an image and its associated product is deleted. The image is still saved in Digital Asset Library and Assets of PIM and Syndication respectively.
- If the same image is associated with multiple products, ensure to delete the required image relationship from all the associated products according to the business requirement.
- You can simultaneously syndicate the data of image relationship deletion in multiple locales but not in multiple contexts. For example, you can syndicate the data only in Germany context and German and English locales.
- If the same image is used in multiple locales, ensure to delete the image relationship in all the associated locales according to the business requirement. For example, if an image is used in both German and English locales, ensure to delete the image relationship in both the locales.
