Syndicate Image(s) from PIM to Syndication
Scenario: Let us consider a scenario where we are syndicating an image from PIM to Syndication.
If you are using external DAM, then you must be aware of these:
- Do not use the existing URL (or same URL) for different assets.
- For any asset URL that has undergone the asset update, the Exchange will not handle such scenarios during asset syndications.
Prerequisite for Syndicating Image(s)
To successfully syndicate an image data, perform the following:

Select the required image and click the Quick Manage icon. Here, Chicken Breast.jpg is our image.

Enter the required locale and image type values in CXH Asset Locale and CXH Image Type respectively. Here, en-US is our locale and Main Product Image is the type of our image.

Syndicate Image(s) from PIM
For more information on how to syndicate, refer to steps 4-6 in Syndicate Data from PIM Application. Here, we are syndicating the image in Global context and en-US locale.

Result: The image is syndicated from PIM to Syndication.
View Syndicated Image(s) in Syndication
To view the syndicated image in Syndication, perform the following:
- Log in to the Syndication application with the appropriate supplier user credentials and select the required account. Here, we have considered Demo Account Foodservice as our account.

- Select the required entity. Here, Food is our required Pallet.

Result: The syndicated image is displayed in Syndication. Here, Chicken Breast.jpg is displayed for Food (Pallet).
You must specify the AssetLocaleAttributeName and AssetTypeAttributeName for the required asset types in the <Tenant_Id>_edsConfiguration.json file. For more information, see Configure PIM to Syndication Sync.
Syndicate Image(s) in Multiple Locales
The application provides the feature of syndicating image(s) in multiple locales. The maximum number of locales that is supported in Global context is 50.
Prerequisite to Syndicate Image(s) in Multiple Locales
Ensure that the value of DATA TYPE is List of Values for the relationship type of your asset type and the value of USES REFERENCE DATA is locale in the Data Model sheet.

View Syndicated Image(s) in Syndication
