Terms Description
GTIN Number Global Trade Item Number is also represented as UPC Barcode. The GTIN is a globally unique 14-digit number used to identify trade items, products, or services. GTIN consists of two sections such as Manufacturer ID and Product ID.
PDP (Product Details Page) PDP is a web page on the eCommerce website that provides information of the specific product. This information includes size, color, price, shipping information, reviews, and other relevant information customers want to know before purchasing.
PIM (Product Information Management) PIM is the process of managing all the information required to market and sell products through your distribution channels.
RDP Data Store It is the PIM database storage where all the text, images, audio, video, and docs are saved in a certain pattern with the primary key so that it is easy to fetch the required data.
RDP Services These are the services provided by PIM such as CRM (Customer Relationship Management), PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), MDM (Master Data Management), Marketing Analysis, and so on.
Seed Product For a particular GTIN number, Retailer creates a Product with predefined values for certain attributes based on their requirements.
Vocabulary Vocabulary refers to the unique data associated with the customers in Syndication system.
Digital Asset Management (DAM) The DAM module in PIM has some core capabilities of asset upload, metadata extraction, attribute management, asset renditions and URL based access. For more information, see Digital Asset Library App.
External Digital Asset Management (DAM) The external DAM refers to the DAM outside the PIM Application. If user wants to use any other DAMs along with the PIM application, then the Exchange provides the ability to use the external DAM for their use cases.
