Export assets and product content

You can export product content and asset information from the Marketplace Products page by completing the following steps:

  1. Assets: In the Asset modal, you can specify which assets should be included in the export and set their specifications.

    • Choose the asset file format.
    • Select Yes to apply the same template for every asset, or No to assign different templates to individual assets.
    • Select the asset language.
    • Utilize the Asset Template drop-down to select an existing template or click Create New Template to make a new one for individual assets. For more information about creating a new asset template, see Create a new asset template.
    • In the table, click the checkbox for each asset type you want to export.

Note:

When No is selected, assign specific templates to each asset in the Template name column.

  1. Asset Naming: By default, the Asset Template Naming Convention is determined by the asset template selected in Step 1. However, you can select a predefined naming convention from the drop-down menu or create a custom naming convention for the assets included for the export.

  2. Product Content: This step enables you to export attributes associated with the selected products (excluding assets).

    • Choose Yes to export the product content or select No to export only assets/images.

    • If you select Yes, then:

      • Select the product content template from the drop-down list.

      • Specify a name for the product content file you want to export.

      • Select the language for the product content.

  3. Export Email: Marketplace exports are delivered via email.

    • By default, the email address associated with your Syndigo username will be populated. You may edit or add email addresses as needed.
    • You can add an optional message which will be shared with all email recipients.

Note:

At least one recipient email address is required.

After completing all the steps, click the Export button. Once processing is completed, you will receive an email containing the download URL.

Create a new asset template

To successfully create a new asset template, you should follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Click Create New Template.

  2. In the New Template modal, populate the following:

  • Template Name: Used to reference the asset template for future exports.
  • Asset Template Attributes: Select the assets you want to include in the export.
  • Asset Template Naming Convention: Select the format of the naming convention or choose Custom to create a unique naming convention.
  • Image Size: Specify the size or aspect ratio you want your assets to transform into. Use the custom option in the drop-down to provide an exact width-by-height pixel dimension. By default, it is No Change.
  • DPI: Enter the required DPI value. The default value is No Change.
  • File Type: Select the file type for the export. Example: Png.
  • Background Color: Click to enter or choose a color (supports RGBA, HSLA, and HEX formats; the default is white).
  • Color Profile: Choose to convert your file to RGB, CMYK, or grayscale. By default, it uses the Original setting.
  • Max Kilobytes on Disk: Enter a value to limit the size of each file within the downloaded or syndicated asset folder.
  • If Custom is selected for the Asset Template Naming Convention, it is necessary to configure the Custom Naming Segments section within the modal.
    When all the configurations are completed, click Save.

    After creation, the new asset template will be accessible for selection during the export process on the Marketplace Product Export modal.
