Reference data is a set of predefined values for reference attributes, such as color, size, units, or country, that help you maintain consistency across your product information. Using the centralized Reference Data Management, you can easily create, maintain, and reuse the list of values to improve data quality and ensure a consistent product experience across the application.

The following are a few examples of reference data.

Color

Red, Green, Blue, Black, and White.

Size

Extra Small, Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large.

Screen Types

LED, OLED, QLED, and LCD.

Country

United States, Germany, Australia, and France.

To access the Reference Data Management page:

  • On the left navigation menu, click Reference Data.
    The Reference Data Management page displays reference tables.

  • In the Reference Data Management page, click on a reference table.

    The Reference Data Details page displays the reference data records.

Common actions

In the below table, you can switch between the tabs to view various actions available for the Reference Data Management and Reference Data Details page.

Description

Click the Add Table button to add a new reference table.

Click the Download in Excel icon to download all the reference tables in the Excel file.

Click the Upload icon to upload the reference tables in XLS, XLSX, or CSV files.

Click the Sort icon in the column headers to sort by ascending or descending order.

Click the Filter icon in the column headers to filter by Contains, Has Value, or Has No Value.

Hover over the column headers to view the vertical ellipses. Click to pin or remove the column.

Hover over the column headers to view the Resize handle (double vertical lines). Click and drag to increase or decrease the width of the column header.

Click the Edit icon to update the attributes for a reference table.

Click the Delete row icon to delete a reference table.

Description

Click the Download icon to download the selected reference data records in an Excel or CSV file.

Click the Upload icon to upload the reference data records in XLS, XLSX, or CSV files.

Click the Delete icon to delete the selected reference data records.

Click the Revert icon to undo the unsaved changes.

Click the Refresh icon to load the latest changes.

Click the Sort icon in the column headers to sort by ascending or descending order.

Click the Filter icon in the column headers to filter by Contains, Has Value, or Has No Value.
