The Proxy Vendor Data Onboarding feature enables ACES files to be uploaded by a Proxy Vendor role (Example: Data Supplier). This functionality for data onboarding is useful in the following scenarios:
- Internal Teams having better, or more recent data.
- Vendors not directly accessing the system, due to business or technical reasons.
The following image depicts the catalog setup process for the Proxy Vendor:

Notes:
- Catalog that are marked “Protected” must be uploaded by a Proxy Vendor only.
- Catalog that are not marked “Protected” must be uploaded by a Vendor only.
To upload the Proxy Vendor data:
- The Proxy Vendor role must select the specific Vendor from the Vendor Id drop-down list.
The following is a sample screenshot displaying the Vendor Id drop-down list for a Proxy Vendor role:

- Upload the ACES XML file by clicking the Upload File button. For more information on how to upload ACES XML file, see Uploading ACES Data.
Note:
- It is mandatory to select a value from the Vendor Id drop-down list to upload a ACES XML file of any version.
