Seed File Syndication from PIM to Syndication

Seed file is a predefined file (Product) which contains the required attribute values set by a specific Retailer based on business requirements.

Scenario: Syndicate the seed file from PIM to Syndication application.

Let us consider that the Retailer have the seed file (GTIN-00862284003753) in PIM with the following attributes:

The application provides Syndication feature, so that the Retailer can syndicate the seed file from PIM to Syndication and can leverage the syndicated data.

To syndicate the seed file from PIM to Syndication, perform the following steps:

1. From the navigation menu, click Search > Search Thing Domain.
   

   Result: The Search Thing Domain page is displayed.

2. Search for the entity you want to syndicate, and then click the entity.
   

   Result: The Entity Manage page is displayed.
   

3. Click Actions drop-down button > Syndicate action.

   

   Result: The Syndicate window is displayed.

4. Select the channel as CES Seed and action as Syndicate, and then click Next.

   

5. Click Show task details to see task details of syndication process.

   

Result: The task details of the syndicated product (entity) are displayed.

View Syndicated Seed Product in Syndication Application

To view the syndicated data in Syndication, perform the following steps:

1. Login to Syndication application, with appropriate credentials.

   

   Result: The Home page is displayed.

   

2. From the navigation menu, click Product Staging > Staged Products.

   

   Result: The list of all staged products within the Syndication application are displayed.
   

3. In the Search field, enter the GTIN number of the item (Entity) that is syndicated from PIM.

   

   Result: The staged products for the associated GTIN are displayed.
