Password guidelines

Syndigo recommends following standard password guidelines to prevent unauthorized access, protect against security breaches, and ensure secure authentication.

Tips for creating a strong password

  • Include special characters such as !, @, #, $, %, ^, &, and, *.
  • Do not use more than two identical characters in a row.
  • Use a combination of lowercase letters (a-z), uppercase letters (A-Z), and numbers (0-9) in your password.
  • Make sure your password is at least 10 characters long. Passwords shorter than 10 characters are considered weak and insecure.

Best practices for password security

  • Disable password hints and knowledge-based questions — these can easily reveal passwords or be guessed using publicly available information, making accounts vulnerable to breaches.
  • Block commonly used or compromised passwords — screen new passwords against known breach databases or password history to prevent reuse and protect against credential stuffing attacks.
