How to manage assets as attributes

Asset attributes in the Attributes tab enabling you to manage assets directly from the Product Details Page. It displays the asset name, thumbnail, file details, and assigned locale (if applicable).

View and manage asset attributes

To preview and manage assets:

1. In the Attributes tab, locate the asset attribute that contains an asset.
2. Select the asset to open the preview.
   
3. In the preview, use the available options to manage the asset.
   

Add an asset from the Asset Library or upload a new asset

You can add an asset to an attribute by selecting an existing asset from Digital Assets library or by uploading a new asset in the PDP.

To add an asset:

1. In the Attributes tab, locate the asset attribute and click on the Add icon (+).
   

2. In the Add Asset dialog, you can either use:

   • the Digital Assets tab to search and select an existing asset.
     
   • the Upload tab to upload a new asset.
     

3. Once done, click Add, and then click Save Changes to add the asset to the attribute.

Remove or replace an asset

You can remove an existing asset or replace it with another asset from the attribute in the PDP.

To remove an asset:

1. In the Attributes tab, locate the asset attribute that contains an asset.
2. Click the vertical ellipses on the asset.
   
3. Select Clear Asset and then click Save Changes to apply the updates. The asset is removed remove from the attribute.
   

To replace an asset:

1. In the Attributes tab, locate the asset attribute that contains an asset.
2. Click the vertical ellipses on the asset.
3. Select Replace Asset.
   
4. In the Replace Asset dialog, select an asset using the Digital Assets tab or the Upload tab.
   
5. Click Replace and then click Save Changes to apply the updates. The asset is added to the attribute.
   

View products linked to an asset

Manage asset attributes via the Create New modal

On click of an asset, the asset preview modal is displayed, where you can perform the available actions.
