How to manage attributes

Prev Next

Manage product-specific attributes from the Attributes tab in PDP to maintain accurate and consistent product data across the application.

You can view, add, and update product details such as dimensions, materials, brand information, classifications, compliance data, packaging details, and marketing descriptions throughout the product lifecycle from a centralized interface.

To manage attributes:

  1. Go to Products page and click on a product.

  2. In PDP, search for the attributes in the Attributes tab using Search, Filter, or Attribute Groups dropdown.

  3. Click to enable the edit mode.

  4. Enter the attribute value manually. Similarly, you can update the other attributes.
You can use the keyboard shortcut keys to update the attribute values. For more information, see Keyboard Navigation and Shortcuts.

Notes:
  • The application instantly validates the input values and displays the error messages for any incorrect values.
  • You cannot save the changes if the identifier or mandatory attribute is left blank.
  1. Click Save Changes.

  • When the Business Rule (BR) execution is completed, the Attributes tab auto-refreshes and displays the Auto-updated label for BR-computed values.

Possible error scenarios

  • When there are attribute errors, the Data Validations dialog displays the following:

    • Required Fixes: Mandatory Attributes.
    • Recommended Fixes: Attributes with validation errors (optional attributes).

If there are only Recommended Fixes, you can either fix or continue saving the changes.

  • When you save the attribute changes for which the BR-computed value was processed upon updating the attribute manually. In this scenario, you can either override with system changes or continue with your updates.
