A Packaging Hierarchy is a set of levels that describes how your products are organized from the smallest sellable unit up to the largest shipping unit. Each product, which is a Trade Item, represents a specific type of packaging through a well-defined parent-child relationship.
For example, a three-level hierarchy that follows Pallet → Case → Base Unit.

In PX Cloud, you can view and manage your trade item hierarchy from the Packaging Hierarchy tab in the Product Detail Page.
Each level in the hierarchy displays:
- Name of the trade item
- Quantity - The count of child units the parent contains.
- GTIN - A unique product identifier that distinguishes each trade item in the hierarchy.
- Trade item type - A label indicating the type of packaging (Trade Item Unit Descriptor Code). For example, Base Unit, Case, or Pallet.
- Status of the trade item
