Overview

This documentation is for system administrators and implementation teams who deploy, configure, and manage PX Cloud for Brands. It covers the end-to-end setup of a tenant, from raising the tenant request through to configuring the recipients that product data is syndicated to.

The steps below are presented in the order you perform them, with a dedicated page for each.

Implementation workflow

The following illustration shows the end-to-end PX Cloud implementation workflow:

The following table provides an overview of the implementation setup workflow, including stage descriptions:

Step Descriptions
1. Request tenant Submit a tenant request through the External Service Desk. The Operations team reviews the request, provisions the environment, and confirms once the tenant is ready for use.
2. Load data model Load the required data model files into the tenant. This provides the attributes that products can be authored against.

The models to load depend on the customer's offering - the PIM Standard base model is loaded first, followed by the GDSN model and any category-specific playlists as applicable.
3. Sync data model Push the loaded attributes to Exchange through Data Model Sync. Once synced, the attributes appear in Exchange as unmapped and are ready for the mapping step. For more information on running the sync, see Sync data model.
4. Map attributes Map each attribute in Exchange to its corresponding public attribute in Syndication, then publish the data view. This step connects the PIM and Syndication modules and allows product data authored in PIM (Global view in PDP) to flow through to recipients (recipient view in PDP). For more information on configuring mappings, see Map attributes in Exchange.
5. Configure recipients Configure the recipient connections that the brand sends data to: Core, GDSN, and Manually Configured. Once configured, recipients appear in Brand PXC when linking them to a product.

Once the setup is complete, business users can begin linking recipients and publishing product data in PX Cloud.
