How to update and publish product details to recipient

This article provides step-by-step instructions for updating and publishing a product to a recipient.

Navigate to recipient PDP

To navigate to recipient PDP:

  1. Navigate to the product detail page (PDP) and verify if the product is currently in a global or other recipient context.

  2. Use the recipient context selector (located above the Syndication panel) or the Syndication panel to select the correct recipient. This will open the required recipient PDP for further actions.

  3. The publication checklist will appear beneath the meta information panel whenever any action is needed. The product readiness score will appear in the panel, indicating whether the product is ready for publishing.

Address checklist steps

  1. Go to the publication checklist and complete the independent, actionable steps before publishing the product.

  2. Click on Save Changes to save populated attributes.

Resolving checklist steps updates the readiness score in real-time, and the readiness score reaches 100%. The Publish button then activates.

Publish product

  1. After the product is 100% ready, click the Publish button to publish the product to the linked recipient.

  2. After you click Publish, a processing modal appears, followed by a success message.

Note:

If processing takes longer than expected, you can close the processing pop-up and monitor the task in the Currently Running section of the Background Tasks popover.

Additional Information

Publication Status

When the product moves from one state to another, the current status of the product can be viewed in the meta information panel.

The below table provides the overall view of possible statuses of the products associated with the recipients:

Draft Version Statuses (Shows the status of the draft version of the product) Not Published Product draft has never been published or requires user action before initiating publication (e.g., data incomplete, checklist open). Yes
Publishing User has triggered publication; system is in the process of pushing the product to the recipient. No
Published Awaiting Subscription Publishing is complete on the system side, but recipient system has not yet confirmed subscription/collection. No
Error A problem occurred during the publishing process (validation, system, or recipient-side issue). Yes
Published Version Statuses (Displays the status of the product once published) Pending Delivery Product has been published, but recipient has not yet pulled or processed the data. No
Pending Recipient Action Product is under recipient review or pending further action by the recipient. No
Pending Supplier Action Recipient has provided feedback or raised issues that mandate additional user action and republishing. Yes
Synchronized Product data is fully aligned and in sync with the recipient; no further user or system action required at this time. No
Published Withdrawal Sent When a temporary or permanent withdrawal is performed for a published product, you can view the published withdrawal status on the product details page. For more information, see Withdraw Publication. No
